Channel penstocks

Channel penstocks are installed in open channels or at the end of open
channels and they are 3-face sealed.
Thus the max. water level is limited through the height of the
penstock door.

The operation is carried out through a spindle either manually
or electrically.

Following standard sizes are available:
200 x 200 to 2200 x 2200 mm

Additionally the TESACO-Hand Stops are administrated under the H-series.
Hand Stops are also 3-face sealing gates, which are manually lifted and
lowered by a handle.
Many times they are also used as orifice plates for the flow-through control.

Following standard sizes are available:
200 x 200 to 1200 x 1200 mm

Both versions find their application in drainage systems, municipal- and
industrial waste water treatment plants and retention reservoirs.

Channel penstock – twin-spindle / Stop Logs

Here you will find our channel penstocks with double-spindle mechanism.

In order to avoid tilting of the door from channel penstocks with very large width, they are equipped with a twin-spindle mechanism. The redirecting to one manual or electrical operating point is normallyperformed via gear boxes.

Following standard sizes are available:
1800 x 1800 to 4000 x 4000 mm

Additionally the TESACO-Stop Logs are administrated under the K-series. They are temporary hydraulic control elements and they are hoisted or lowered by local lifting equipment.

Following standard sizes are available:
400 x 400 to 5000 x 3000 mm

The fields of application are sewer systems, municipal- and industrial waste water treatment plants, flood protection and control, retention reservoirs, intake structures for power plants and industries (cooling water).

Flap Valves

Flap Valves prevent the backflow into pipes or wall apertures. Generally there are the following threedifferent basic designs of the flap:

with basic cover flap
with adjustable counter weight
with floating cover flap

The fixing could be carried out in the following different versions:

wall fixing
pipe flange fixing
grouted fixing
slide-in fixing

Additionally flap valves are installed to prevent the access of small animals into the pipe.

The fields of application for flap valves are sewer- and drainage systems, municipal- and industrial waste water treatment plants, flood protection and control, pumping stations, retention reservoirs.

Following standard sizes are available:

Cast iron round:	DN 80 to DN 2000 mm
Stainless steel round:	DN 100 to DN 2400 mm
Stainless steel square:	200 x 200 to 5000 x 2000 mm

Control penstocks

Control penstocks are required for discharge control. Thereby our standard penstocks of the C20-series will be equipped with additional sliding strips. They grants a permanent contact of the penstock door with the sealing in any position and therefore ensure an exact defined discharge aperture.

Through this approved modular assembly system we will keep the costs small and the delivery times short.

All control penstocks are equipped with a division scale. The respective flow-through diagram also belong to our scope of supply.

Auxliary equipment

As penstocks more and more frequently are installed in round concrete chambers, we offer an adapter for easy installation without costly concrete forming work.

Additionally you will find some special valves e.g. relief valve, telescopic valve etc. for the completion of our E-series.

Penstock made from stainless steel

Penstocks made from stainless steel are the all-rounder. The robust design together with the customized stainless steel quality become a reliable valve.

The fields of application for penstocks are sewer systems, municipal- and industrial waste water treatment plants, flood protection and control, pumping stations, retention reservoirs, intake structures for power plants and industries (cooling water).

Following standard sizes are available:

Round: DN 150 to DN 2500 mm
Square: 200 x 200 to 4000 x 4000 mm

Any special- and intermediate sizes could be delivered in a minimum of time due to our modular assembly system.
